I grew up in Bismarck, ND.

I have nine (yep, 9!) siblings and I can level with ya - things were never boring in our house.

One being photography; it truly has been a part of my life since I can remember. My grandmother loved documenting all of her grandchildren - we have so many pictures and home videos to reminisce back on all because of her intentionality to just get the pictures. We're talkin' the 90's; when cameras were film, video cameras weighed 25lbs and had to be plugged in.

I'm so grateful for that intentionality. It's such a blessing to have that gift. When time stood still, even for a minute. Absolutely priceless.

I am such a sucker for nostalgia.

Looking through my own camera roll at old photos, that has always been such a bittersweet pass time of mine. Sending old memories to my sibling chat is just about a daily occurrence. And since becoming a mom, I've realized the importance of the art of noticing. It's become a big reason I adore documenting families and weddings. Finding those little moments that might've gone unnoticed - like how wrinkly your baby's feet were, or the way your dad's eyes glistened as he watched you marry the love of your life. Those little moments are actually some of the best and most genuine moments we can document.

Being invited into your home, or most precious day is so humbling. It truly never gets old to me, I love it so much.
